I've been searching about on this topic for a little while and haven't come across a working answer as of yet. The issue I am having is that after an install of wamp on my 2003 server the php pages are displayed in the browser as text instead of html. I the files have been saved correctly so they are not .txt files and have the correct encoding. The phpmyadmin site loads great and I have created databases so mysql is up and running too. The other strange aspect is that the php files were developed on my local machine and tested/ debugged untill working so again I'm sure its not the files. I have tried a reinstall of wamp with no sucess.
So the only conclusion I can come to is it is an issue within the config files either the php.ini or the apache httpd conf or both. What really has me puzzled is that the install process on my local machine was exactly the same as on the 2003 server and they work fine locally?
I have WAMP SERVER,PHP 5.3.0 and Apache server 2.2.11 I want to download a suitable CURL lib version for it. I studied the sites and found that this installation will not be easy it may not work if the version is not suitable I found here: [URL]
but I'm not sure to get the perfect result cause my version is different also I have another problem if I can not install it in a good way will my wamp server and databases go wrong or not?
The generated devsite.pem file has the RSA Private key and the Certificate info. I also enabled the ssl_module in Apache on my Wamp. Now where do we go from here. I am a newbie on this, whats the next step.
To date, I have created my website using only HTML and CSS. While I am in no way an expert, I do now feel comfortable enough with this, and am looking to create some more dynamic content. Having done the usual googling, reading of forums and trying to make sense of Kevin Yank's book, I'm not sure what my next step should be. My PC runs on Windows Vista My shared hosting package with Hostgator (Linux) gives me access to MySQL databases, MySQL Database Wizard, phpMyAdmin and Remote MySQL.
For my own understanding (and to save bandwidth I guess), I am contemplating downloading WAMP, XAMPP or installing each individually, so that I can review what I'm doing locally. However either WAMP or XAMPP is my preference as I'd rather walk before I can run. I've just read that I can get a XAMPP download for windows...this confuses me as I thought the 'X' stood for cross-platform. Maybe I'm just looking for problems.
i have installed on my computer WAMP with PHP 5.2.9-2. I want to install php_tidy and i have read some tuts over the internet and i found out that i have to uncomment this extension=php_tidy.dll in php.ini, the problem is that i can't find that line.
I've no idea with command line stuff! What i've done: changed my php.ini to phar.require_hash -> off ran go-pear.bat so i'm pretty sure i've got PEAR installed, now I'd like to install this package I've tried following the instructions but I really don't know how to do things with cmd.exe
I'm looking for an editor that can read and write remote PHP files via sFTP. I'm talking about not having a local copy of my PHP files.
But here is the tricky part : I'd like that editor to be aware of all the files in my projet, and provide me with intellisense-like auto-completion, classes structures, etc...Just like Eclipse PDT, Aptana and NetBeans do, but with the "remote project storage and awareness" feature.
Do you know about any editor with these features ?
Edit : I'm absolutely not working on my production server, but on a development server. It's mostly because I need to works under windows on my desktop PC and don't want host my projects locally for various compatibility and tools availability reasons, and use linux as a server OS.
I m getting curl to work in wamp. I have wamp up and running and I can serve files fine, but anything that uses curl gets a "Call to undefined function curl_init()" error. I followed the tutorial at [URL] and it did not help. when I run phpinfo(); curl is not listed anywhere on the page. I need this installed as soon as possible.
i have downloaded some files which have .php extension. Then i installed wamp server on my pc. but couldnot be able to view those files.i have also turned off the IIS from the add/remove windows program.still i am not able to view the pages.
We are setting up our own ISP (server) with Windows 2003 Standard Edition, Ms SQL 2005 and Wamp and our consulting company is setting up the hardware (and 2003 server software along with MS SQL 2005) and I am going to setup WAMP on it (with PHP5) and was looking for feedback on the PHP5 settings.
Has anyone setup a 'true server' like this?
I have my personal machine with WAMP and PHP5 but it is not hosted on the Internet only our Intranet, so I am safe with the standard settings and not concerned about security or speed.
I'm putting together a PHP/SQL based helpdesk system here at work and I'm having some trouble getting it to run on a windows system.
I've tried e-novative WAMP and wamp from wampserver.com and neither of these seem to display PHP variables at all. they just leave them blank. So I tried uniform server from uniformserver.com and this actually seemed to work.
Now I'm using a book to learn and it's called PHP5/MySQL Programming for the absolute beginner but when I get to a certain part the PHP stops working properly. Now I'll give the code and if somebody could tell me if it's my server or the code that's not right then I can continue with my project. Code:
have just installed wamp server on windows. In the www folder, if I write a simple php method I get the result. But if I try to install an earlier project, I am getting a parse error at the end of the file i.e. where the </html> tag ends.
I have been trying to get WAMP on my work computer to connect to work's mail server to test some pages that customers will use to request information.Looking at the log files I notice the following line
At 1st, 2nd and 3rd glance I can see nothing wrong with that line (though country is chosen via a drop down menu with australai as the default). Maybe the fault is higher up? The only thing I could possibly see is that Code: $media = $_POST['media']; is this. 'Media' refers a 2 radio button set. Have I set this up correctly. What could be wrong in the php.ini and whay does the ini_set() actually do or how do i use it?
How to import file in wamp server? I have a database file named as db.opt .I want to save this file in proper location so that I can access database from wamp server..Its showing unable to access database everytime. I saved those file in wamp inmysqlmysql5.1.36data. But I cant access database when trying to run the pages.
I'm currently running WAMP 2.0 on a Windows server and it has PHP Version 5.2.5. I would like to update WAMP to the latest version but more importantly update PHP to 5.3.x so that I can take advantage of all the namespace goodness. I was wondering if anyone had any pointers for going about this and any pitfalls I should look out for when I do update. Will I need to update my extensions? Can I just download the latest version and drop it in to the WAMP PHP bin directory?
