Disable IPhone's Automatic Hyperlinks?

Jan 10, 2011

We send out a notification email whenever we have "phishing" emails reported to us. In these emails, we include a copy-paste of the text inside the original phishing email as a sample of what is reported to us. Our code strips all hyperlinks out of the email via PHP, but still includes (in plain text) the link. When users receive this email in their client (Thunderbird, Outlook, Horde/IMP, etc), the hyperlink is removed. However, the iPhone likes to take web addresses in plain text and automatically turn them into hyperlinks. Is there any possible way to stop this action from happening via a HTML tag or by using PHP to replace certain parts of the hyperlink?

VIM Disable Automatic Newline At End Of File?

So I work in a PHP shop, and we all use different editors, and we all have to work on windows. I use vim, and everyone in the shop keeps complaining that whenever I edit a file there is a newline at the bottom. I've searched around and found that this is a documented behavior of vi & vim... but I was wondering if there was some way to disable this feature. (It wouldbe best if I could disable it for specific file extensions).

Converting URLs To HTML Hyperlinks While Avoiding Already-formatted Hyperlinks?

So I have this code:

$sURLRegExp = '/http://([a-z0-9-.]+.[a-z]{2,3}(/S*)?)/i';
$iURLMatches = preg_match($sURLRegExp, $sMessage, $aURLMatches);
if ($iURLMatches > 0) {
$sURL = $aURLMatches[1];
$sURL = str_replace('www.', '', $sURL);
$sMessage = preg_replace($sURLRegExp, '<a href="http://$1" target="_blank">' .
$sURL . '</a>', $sMessage);

It does a perfect job of converting all incoming messages so that plain URLs entered will turn into HTML hyperlinks that even remove the "http://" and "www." part, for brevity.

Thing is, administrators for the site on which this works are able to enter in HTML. If they do, it turns it into a horrid mess. Something like <a href="<a href="http://www.site.com">site.com</a>">text</a>.

I tried altering the regular expression to make sure that there is no quotation mark after the given URL (which most likely indicates it's part of a hyperlink anchor tag) like so:

$sURLRegExp = '/http://([a-z0-9-.]+.[a-z]{2,3}(/S*)?([^"])/i';

...but it doesn't seem to work. I know about look-ahead assertions, but have no idea how to use them at all. Would that be the best thing to use in this case? How would I detect the presence of an anchor tag around this URL?

Note: I know I could just use strpos(...) !== false on the entire message, but that doesn't account for mixes of plain URLs and anchor tags in the same message.

Convert Plain Text Hyperlinks Into HTML Hyperlinks?

I have a simple commenting system here...http://affbuzz.com/comments/7299a55137def55917a5dc6c4fe0f261af8a4217...and people can submit hyperlinks inside the plain text field. When I display these records back from the database and into the web page, what RegExp in PHP can I use to convert these links into HTML-type anchor links?Bonus: For the algorithm to not do this with any other kind of link, just http and https.

Iphone SDK - Upload Image From Iphone To A Server Send Empty File?

I try to send a photo and GPS location to server via PHP here is the PHP part:Copy from here Saving the Uploaded File The examples above create a temporary copy of the uploaded files in the PHP temp folder on the server. The temporary copied files disappears when the script ends. To store the uploaded file we need to copy it to a different location:

if ((($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/gif")
|| ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/jpeg")
|| ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/pjpeg"))
&& ($_FILES["file"]["size"] < 20000))
if ($_FILES["file"]["error"] > 0)

The script above checks if the file already exists, if it does not, it copies the file to the specified folder.

Note: This example saves the file to a new folder called "upload"

now back to iOS part ,I only can send GPS location to server ,it's easy because just a string. and you can download sample code here But an image is not,I do some search and found this discussion I directly put the code in my send GPS&image button the best thing is it can feedback I send the file success or failed

this is the most message I got after I send photo to server

1.Invalid file

2.Return Code: Upload: Type: Size: 0 KbTemp file: Stored in: upload/

I follow some guide to save image to NSData

NSData *photoData= UIImageJPEGRepresentation(self.theimageView.image, 1.0);

and I also check there is data inside or not so simply add this code into Button action

if (photoData == nil) {
NSLog(@"The photo is nothing !!!");
else {
NSLog(@"Photo inside !!!!");

But How To Upload An Image To Server ??? maybe I need to give a file name then upload it ???but how to...

I never use camera function and upload data before Hope someone can figure out this problem

Hyperlinks In PHP Anyone?

I am trying to write a piece of code which writes the message on
screen "access denied" telling the user he can't access this page
without logging in and then offering a hyperlink to the login page.

Like this:

if ($queryrows)
echo("Welcome to the birthdays page");
echo("Access denied<br>");
echo("<a href="index.php">click here to access the login page</a>");

//this code works perfect until I type in the line with the hyperlink (
beginning echo("<a href...)). PHP won't accept this code.

My question is how can i insert a hyperlink (or equivalent link) to
another page in the above if...else statement?

Broken Hyperlinks

I updated a homepage (only) and when I uploaded, it still showed the old page but the problem was the site was .php and my file was .htm so after I spoke with support they deleted some files and created a htaccess file but afterwards none of the links worked(when I click on them, it just went to the top of the page)

so I asked support to put the files back the way they were and I restored the old site to test and still no links work. What could be the problem? Note: I created the .php but the links still don't work. I did not change any of the links or navigation of the site or that page. The old page is up but no links work. I don't know what was deleted or whats in the htaccess file.

Using Hyperlinks To Invoke

Suppose I have an inventory list ($inventory), consisting of unique parts only, which have been fetched from a database ($db), and I want to display something like this:

function deletepart($part) {
$q = "DELETE FROM inventory WHERE part = '" . $part . "'";

foreach($inventory as $i)
$str .= "<tr><td>" . $i['part'] . "</td><td><a href="deletepart(" . $i['part'] . ")">delete this part</a></td></tr>

echo "<table>
" . $str . "</table>

The problem of course is in the <a href>-tag: it will lead to a new page, but I only want to manipulate the database $db. So without using buttons, how can I make the hyperlink act as a button? I am happy to wrap the table in a form, as long as it does not contain any Javascript.

///store results of query
$result = mysql_query($query . $pagingQuery) or die('Error, query

while(list($col1, $col2, $col3) = mysql_fetch_array($result))
{echo "<tr><td>$col1</td><td>$col2</td><td>$col3</td></tr>";

Blocking/Restricting Hyperlinks

I basically need block ALL visitors coming from certain locations, as the website I work for's population is mainly kids and young teens. So yeah, you see my problem. I would really like to keep them all as safe as possible. One of the main things I'd like to do is block access to it from the 4chan websites, as well as a couple of others.

If you know of 4chan, you know why, if not, then assume 4chan is no good. So anyway. All I really know on this subject is $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'], which returns the referral URL, if there is one. BUT, is there a way to block from all locations on a single website? And if so, how?
