Warning: Unknown: Failed To Open Stream: No Such File Or Directory In Unknown On Line 0

May 18, 2010

I have my apache (for windows) htdocs in a folder like c:anything1怘怙怚怛anything2. The problem is that in this case php won't execute any scripts from here and will display an error message like this:

Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required 'c:/anything1/怘怙怚怛/anything2/index.php' (include_path='.;C:php5pear') in Unknown on line 0

If I try to open a html file, it is served by apache, so it seems that the problem appears only with php.

Web page contains php includes:

<?php
include 'http://www.example.com/header.txt';
?>

and

<?php
include 'http://www.example.com/footer.txt';
?>

header.txt and footer.txt files with html markup are placed in the root folder of a website. Everything went ok pretty long, but suddenly the following error messages appeared on webpages in browser right after markup areas, incerted by these php scripts:

Warning: Unknown(includes/main.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in >Unknown on line 0

Warning: (null)(): Failed opening 'includes/main.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in Unknown on line 0

All markup from txt files is shown by browser correctly. The only problem are these Warning messages. Site is hosted on shared hosting. Nothing was changed in the content of web site folder before these messages appeared.

Apache - Warning: Unknown: Failed To Open Stream?

Mar 16, 2011

I edited the apache httpd.conf file recently for the mod_rewrite to work. I don't know if this problem originated from that or not, but i'm getting this problem from that day.This is what I see on the frontend when I run the software -

Server error The website encountered an error while retrieving http://localhost/prestashop/. It may be down for maintenance or configured
incorrectly.There is no specific file that triggers this. But I saw that usually small programs that consists of 4-5 php files, runs fine, but softwares with a lot of files(like PrestaShop) don't.I checked the logs and this is what I found.

Please Help With This Error: Warning: Unknown(): A Session Is Active.

Jul 17, 2005

I've searched high and low for this on the net but stil haven't found an
answer.

I'm trying to install both postnuke and xoops on a win2k server with php
4.3.3. and mysql installed.

Both applications are loading terribly slow. When the page finally has been
rendered I got the following error:

Warning: Unknown(): A session is active. You cannot change the session
module's ini settings at this time. in Unknown on line 0

Is it a bug in PHP? Has it something to do with the fact that I'm running it
at win2k?

Since I think it has something to do with sessions, I attach a snapshot of
the results for phpinfo()

Warning: Unknown(): Your Script Possibly Relies On A Session

Sep 15, 2006

I'm getting a strange error in one of my programs:

Warning: Unknown(): Your script possibly relies on a session side-effect which existed until PHP 4.2.3. Please be advised that the session extension does not consider global variables as a source of data, unless register_globals is enabled. You can disable this functionality and this warning by setting session.bug_compat_42 or session.bug_compat_warn to off, respectively. in Unknown on line 0

Funny thing is I'm not using any globals at all in my script, but I am using $_SESSION. I even did grep GLOBAL *.php in my directory in case it's in one of the functions I included and nothin'. Strangely the error is output at the very end of the code (after a simple print statement which is before the closing php tag). I don't see the point in messing with register_globals when I don't use globals so am hoping for another solution. Any ideas?

I know that it is very straightforward, including on how to resolve it. However, my question is, what if our webhost would not want to change session.bug_compat_42 or session.bug_compat_warn to off? Any workaround?

Warning: Unknown: Your Script Possibly Relies On A Session Side-effect

The problem is the admin area is not working. I am using the pass but nothing happens.
Someone told me that there is a problem with the register_globals and safe_mode.
I dont know in what file in file directory should I check and what to fix.

I created my site over four years ago, back when PHP4.0 was in use. Recently I moved it to a new ISP and it stopped working. The first time I went to my login page, I got the following error:

Warning: Unknown: Your script possibly relies on a session side-effect which existed until PHP 4.2.3. The tech support guys got the error to go away, but my login code is still not working. Maybe something changed with how sessions are handled? Is there someone out there that would be willing to help? I could give you my FTP login info, and you could look at the code involved. I don't know what else to do, as my site was built many years ago, and I have not been able to keep up on the new changes to PHP 5.0 that would have made my site stop working.

I have a dynamic form that stores, draws data, edits records and emails data. There are two main sections of the site: Submission and Revision.

I assume it's best to free results when a user logs out of their account; while logged, the user can proceed to make revisions. I'm afraid they will run into the same problem I'm experiencing now. Can the results be freed without causing the user to lose their work?

Warning: Preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Unknown Modifier 'string'

Jun 12, 2009

I am trying to get commented strings in my code using regular expression in php. I have following string.

$string = "
///<summary>
///test
///</summary>
";

I use preg_match_all for regular expression function. when I put $string to preg_match_all, it displays

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Unknown modifier 'string' in /home/document/public_html/test.php on line 10

I guess it is because I have modifiers(/) in $string.

Actual Code

$string = "
///<summary
///aaa
///</summary>
";
$pattern = "////<summary>///.*///</summary";
preg_match($pattern,$a,$match);
