I've been eager to try out PHP5, so I've dumped it on my little dev
machine. It's running WinXP with IIS5. I've put the php-cgi.exe in the
"mappings" page as I'm used to doing with PHP4. I've got my php.ini all
set in C:Windows.
I created an index.php containing: <?php phpinfo(); ?>
When I try to view the page, I get "HTTP 400 - Bad Request".
I have tried using fopen, file-get-contents and a curl request but I always get 400 Bad Request returned. his is a simple webpage request with GET params. Here is my code, can anyone see why this would be causing problems? phpinfo(); shows the config allows these sorts of requests.
I have just installed php5 (using the installer) on IIS 5, I have also installed mysql (it works, at least when using Navicat). In the php.ini it says php5 has builtin support for mysql. When I activate scripts, I get a FATAL ERROR call to undefined function: mysql_close.
This is my first post, and I hope it can help somebody.I've been struggling for to days to get php5 work on windows 2003 enterprise server.Here is a guide How to do:HOW TO INSTALL AND CONFIGURE PHP 5.04 WINDOWS 2003 ENTERPRISE SERVER AND IIS 6.0
Step one: Download the php binary files from php.net. [code]....
was thinking about creating a Single class called 'Request' to handle and clean POST and GET variables but being new to the singleton pattern I'm not sure how to implement it. Ideally I'd like to have 2 functions post($name,$clean) and get($name,$clean) - $clean being a boolean to determine whether to trim/ escape the value
I'm testing a web service that is running on Apache 2.2 and PHP 5. Using curl to send requests I see that the time spent is always 2 minutes. I'm only getting partial returns from the service and I think something is configured to stop after 2 minutes. A search of httpd.config and php.ini for the string 120 turned up nothing. What could be set to 2 minutes to produce this behavior?
I am trying to connect to an external SOAP service using PHP and have written a small php test script that just connects to the service and performs a simple request to check everything is working.
This all works correctly but when I run via a browser request, it is very slow taking somewhere in the region of 40s to establish the initial connection. When I do the same request using the exact same script on the command line, it goes through straight away.
I am a newbie to php. I am trying to setup geeklog on the internet. However, I get the following error. I would appreciate any help than you guys could provide. I am sure someone has seen this error before and could provide guidance on this issue.
Parse error: parse error, unexpected '<', expecting ')' in /home/cartiqco/public_html/geeklog/config.php on line 157.

mysqld.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close . We are sorry for inc...
following is error log ------------------------- 090216 18:42:35 - mysqld got exception 0xc0000005 ; This could be because you hit a bug. It is also possible that this binary or one of the libraries it was linked against is corrupt, improperly built,or misconfigured. This error can also be caused by malfunctioning hardware.We will try our best to scrape up some info that will hopefully help diagnose the problem, but since we have already crashed, something is definitely wrong and this may fail.
i wanted to set up a localserver. I tried installing it manually and had issues with Apache 2.2. Now i tried XAMPP and i get the same problem that port 80 or 443 are already in use. I have turned off the port on skype, so , its not skype thats interfering. Im running windows 7 and I dont know how to see what ports are being used because the netstat command doesnt seem to work on windows 7.
Not sure if this is the right forum for this but, I'm getting the following errors out of the blue when trying to access a newly installed OScommerce admin. Everything was working fine until it wasn't. To my knowledge no one made any changes to the code once it was up and running:
Warning: Unexpected character in input: ''' (ASCII=39) state=1 in / home / content / p / u / p / puppylapu / html/admin/index.php on line 117

I get the following error when trying to upload a video via CMS:
Code: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator,[URL].. and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
What exactly would cause this to happen? I have never seen this error before.
with the keyfocus webserver using php i get this error.
"Internal Server Error", 500 error when using a CGI request
There are many reason why a CGI request could fail, it could be that the CGI Filter is not properly configured or the CGI application itself has failed.
i am using frames with php and html and the problem is definitely intermittent.
my question becomes if i put this on a web host where they use a different server and operating system could that eliminate the problem? or am i stuck and have to get to the bottom of it because my code is causing the problem?
i start off with basicframe.html and then change what goes in the individual frames (3) using php code. when i want to reload basicframe.html to its original appearance (the home page(s) i guess) i use <a href="http://127.0.0.1:8125/basicframe.html" target="_top" > <img src="http://127.0.0.1:8125/gifs/home2.gif"></a> and when this code is clicked sometimes i get internal server error and sometimes i dont.
I just installed PHP 5.1.4 on Windows XP and I am getting an error trying to load a simple phpinfo() script.
Server Application Error The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.
I checked the Event Viewer and I'm getting an error and a warning.
error: Unable to start DCOM Server as /IWAM_MYNAME_LT1. The error "access denied"
warning: The server failed to load application /LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT. The error was "general access denied error"
I have given Full Controll privileges to c:php, c:Inetpubwwwroot and the php.ini file to both the IUSR and IWAM accounts. I have set IIS to allow "Scripts and Executables". Application protection is "Medium (pooled). I'm not sure what to do at this point. I don't remember ever having this problem before. Any ideas what's going on?
One note... I changed "Application Protection" in IIS to "Low (IIS Process" and now the PHP script loads... but restarting IIS with "issreset /restart" causes IIS to crash.
Anyone tell me pear dbinsallation on WAMP, i got warnings on that while installing pear DB? pear DB supports only WAMP limited versions? i also tried manual pear DB but it doesn't work, it shows errror in llib/lt_setup.php file as require('DB.php');
Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, admin@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. I have installed new Wamp Sever after installing the new windows XP, and now this error message is shown on the screen. I have searched over it and all of told me about .htaccess file replacement or changed its name, but after doing this PHP code was looking as it is and also css was not applying on the page. How can i remove this error?
I am trying to install phpMyAdmin-2.6.3-pl1 on my machine because I am familiar with working with it itself, but not installing it. I have Apache 2.0.54, php 4.4.0, mysql 4.1.14 running on a Win XP Home machine. Like I said, I've never installed phpMyAdmin before and I've looked at the documentation and I can kinda make out what it says, but I'd rather try to find a very thorough installation guide.
I have a twitter feed on my website which works fine when I try it locally but as soon as I upload the script to my webspace I get this error. I don't understand why it would work locally and not when I upload it. Could this be a problem with the permissions?
Warning: DOMDocument::load(http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/158896562.rss) [domdocument.load]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request in /web1/user25846/website/contact.php on line 24

I have pasted line 24 below.
$doc = new DOMDocument(); $doc->load('http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/158896562.rss');
i installed apache 2.0.55 and it works fine. then i downloaded php5 and extracted it to c:php, renamed php.ini-recommended to php.ini, copied php5ts.dll to the windows folder and added the following lines to httpd.conf:
now when im trying to start apache i get the following error:
Syntax error on line 958 of c:/Program File/Apache Group/Apache2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load c:/php/php5apache2.dll into server: One of the library files needed to run this application cannot be found.
I think the reason my script keeps throwing a 400 Bad Request error is because the script entails using $request = $HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA; in the RPC server. What should I do instead of that? I've tried $request =& $_POST and $request = $_POST and they all throw a 400 Bad Request... I'll post the code, but it's just to get a grip on how this stuff works, so no laughing :P
