Warning: Unknown: Failed To Open Stream: No Such File Or Directory In Unknown On Line 0

May 18, 2010

I have my apache (for windows) htdocs in a folder like c:anything1怘怙怚怛anything2. The problem is that in this case php won't execute any scripts from here and will display an error message like this:

Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required 'c:/anything1/怘怙怚怛/anything2/index.php' (include_path='.;C:php5pear') in Unknown on line 0

If I try to open a html file, it is served by apache, so it seems that the problem appears only with php.

Warning: Unknown(includes/main.php): Failed To Open Stream: No Such File Or Directory In >Unknown On Line 0

Web page contains php includes:

<?php
include 'http://www.example.com/header.txt';
?>

and

<?php
include 'http://www.example.com/footer.txt';
?>

header.txt and footer.txt files with html markup are placed in the root folder of a website. Everything went ok pretty long, but suddenly the following error messages appeared on webpages in browser right after markup areas, incerted by these php scripts:

Warning: Unknown(includes/main.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in >Unknown on line 0
Warning: Unknown(includes/main.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in >Unknown on line 0
Warning: (null)(): Failed opening 'includes/main.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in Unknown on line 0

All markup from txt files is shown by browser correctly. The only problem are these Warning messages. Site is hosted on shared hosting. Nothing was changed in the content of web site folder before these messages appeared.

Fopen Errors.. Failed To Open Stream: Permission Denied On Line 43?

Feb 8, 2010

I have a sight (not trying to sell anything) www(dot)discoverysound(dot)com/en for English and /jp for Japanese.I made a control panel for this site so that it would be faster to edit things that get updated often. Usually the ranking on the lefthand side.But today for some reason I went to update the ranking in the control panel and got an error I have never gotten before.

QuoteWarning: fopen(/home/jp/index.html): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/ControlPanel/mkfile/makeindex_jp.php on line 43

So I went to check in my makeindex_jp.php file along with the index. Can some see if they can spot an error and even more tell me why this just now happened when I have been updating the rankings for years now and never ran into this problem. Below is the code:

First /home/ControlPanel/mkfile/makeindex_jp.php on line 43

Error - Failed To Open Stream: Permission Denied

Im trying to create thumbnails using gd library and am using the imagejpeg() function. The output then shows the following error

Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open '/var/www/html/yahoo/thumbs/1136.jpg' for writing: Permission denied in /var/www/html/yahoo/Thumbnail.php on line 56

I have set full 777 permissions on the thumbs folder, is there something else that could be causing this, or am i missing something here.

Ive tried creating the file with fopen and am getting the same issue.. fopen returns the following warning:

Failed To Open Stream: Permission Denied

Aug 9, 2006

I recently had to restart my apache server and ever since then, no scripts that create or upload files to the server are working. I keep getting failed to open stream: Permission denied when trying to create a file or failed to open stream: No such file or directory when trying to upload files when running the scripts.

Yes I have checked the most obvious, the folder permissions and they are set to 777 and the owner and group is also correct. I am wondering if there are any settings in my php.ini that may be causing my scripts to fail? Or an apache setting that may have gotten reset?

Move_uploaded_file Failed To Open Stream: Permission Denied

Apr 23, 2009

I'm developing a website with PHP 5 and Apache on CentOS. There is a php page to upload files to webserver and some FTP users need to access to these uploaded files. So I create a new group named G1 and add this group to both apache and FTP users. Then set the permission of upload destination folder to 774, set owner to FTP user account and set group to G1. When I try to upload file from php page, the following warning occur

Warning: move_uploaded_file(../papers/myfile.doc) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain/httpdocs/mysite/upload-form.php on line 93

Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpuXqVpb' to '../papers/myfile.doc'
in /home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain/httpdocs/mysite/upload-form.php on line 93

When I click Refresh button on this warning page, the following message appear with Resend and Cancel button. "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier.". I click Resend, the same warning page with different tmp file occur.

The strange thing is after I click Refresh button 4 or 5 time, the file is successfully uploaded and no warning appear. Then I try again for another file, the same warning appear again. And I need to click Refresh 4 or 5 to upload success.

[function.fopen]: Failed To Open Stream: Permission Denied

Aug 29, 2010

I'm still playing around with TCPDF. Basically I'm trying to generate a report using TCPDF, and then send it using MIME as an attachment. The problem I'm having now is creating the PDF on my local server, for subsequent attachment. I've run this code:

<?php
//Creates an example PDF TEST document using TCPDF
require_once('../config/lang/eng.php');
require_once('../tcpdf.php');
// create new PDF document
$pdf = new TCPDF(PDF_PAGE_ORIENTATION, PDF_UNIT, PDF_PAGE_FORMAT, true, 'UTF-8', false);
// set document information
$pdf->SetCreator('Stock Program v. 1.1');
$pdf->SetAuthor('xxx');
[Code].....

So if you're not familiar with TCPDF, when I run $pdf->Output($testName, 'F'), the option F is supposed to save to a local server file with the name given. However, when I run the script, this is the error I receive:

Warning: fopen(zzTest PDF Local) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /var/www/tcpdf/tcpdf.php on line 7488 TCPDF ERROR: Unable to create output file: zzTest PDF Local

I'm sure this is a combination of my newbness, both with Ubuntu and with PHP / TCPDF.

Flex Builder 4 - ZendAMF And Data Services - Error "failed To Open Stream: Permission Denied"?

May 9, 2010

I'm trying to set up my Flex Builder 4 dev environment, up to and including PHP and the ZendFramework on a WAMP stack on my hard drive. Everything goes swimmingly until I try to set up a data service. I point it to the php class file, it populates the various fields in the form so I know it understood it, and I press next. After a little bit of tweaking I have the ZendFramework installed and everything seems to be pointing the right way, so I'm not sure why I'm getting this error:

"Make sure that Zend Framework is installed correctly and the parameter "amf.production" is not set to true in the amf_config.ini file located in the project output folder. Warning: include_once(C:wampwwwTestDrive-debugEmployeeService.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:wampendFrameworklibraryendLoader.php on line 146"

What could be causing a permissions error like that? It's not on the system level because I went into properties and fully opened that file up so even a basic user has full permissions - still no dice. I'm not reeeally a PHP guy so this is a bit beyond my skillset. Has anyone encountered this problem before? I'm just following the tutorial I have here and it SHOULD work. I'm just not clear on what would be causing a permissions issue like this.

php.ini as follows:

[java]
java.classpath = "c:/PHP/ext/JavaBridge.jar;"
java.java_home = "c:/Sun/AppServer/jdk/bin"
java.libpath = "c:/PHP/ext"

I have downloaded pecl package into the php folder. Have copied the
javabridge.jar and .war file to php/ext dir/. I have copied the
php_java.dll from javabridge zip file to the php/ext dir.

Im running windows xp and apache 2.0.55.

Apache will restart, but with an error in the error log file. The error
message is:

Unable to load dynamic library 'c:/php/extphp_java.dll' - The
specified procedure could not be found.
in Unknown on line 0

It found the dll but cant find a procedure in it? What the heck is
that?

Error: Exception Thrown Without A Stack Frame In Unknown On Line 0

Jan 7, 2011

session_start();$_SESSION['dbo'] = NEW PDO('sqlite:database.db3');

gives:

Fatal error: Exception thrown without a stack frame in Unknown on line 0

but putting it to ordinary variable gives no error. All I try to do is to put object into session so it is initialized once.

Error - Permission Denied In /home/domain.com/public/www/parser.php On Line 546

Jun 22, 2010

I'm having issues with an automatic parser which reads files that have been uploaded via FTP onto one of our hosts.

Basically it returns with the following error

Warning: rename(/home/domain.com/thefile.zip,/home/domain.com/used/thefile.zip)
[function.rename]: Permission denied in /home/domain.com/public/www/parser.php on line 546

Unfortunately the third party providing the zip file is only willing to send it to the root directory. I'm unsure what needs to be done facilitate moving the file out of the root directory and into the 'used' directory.

Error - Cannot Pass Paramter --> Failed To Open Stream

Sep 29, 2006

I have a main.php file that calls a php navigation menu.

I want to pass the menu file a parameter to tell it which menu to
display.

Inside the main.php I have :
include "/home/ottadca1/public_html/includes/leftnav.php?menuid=dave";

But the error is :
Warning:
main(/home/ottadca1/public_html/includes/leftnav.php?menuid=dave)
[function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in
/home/ottadca1/public_html/1menu.php on line 117

Warning: main() [function.include]: Failed opening
'/home/ottadca1/public_html/includes/leftnav.php?menuid=dave' for
inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in
/home/ottadca1/public_html/1menu.php on line 117

However - if use the exact same line without passing a parameter it
works fine.
This works : include "/home/ottadca1/public_html/includes/leftnav.php";

I don't understand. I've used this technique in the past.
Is there some sort of php configuration I am missing ?
